I was born in Tanzania in 1972. My father was a peace corps volunteer, in Norwegian called “fredskorpset-medarbeider”, and together with my mother they moved to live in Mwanza for 3 years in the 70’s.
I guess they were happy there, because I was born in Mwanza shortly after.
In 1975 we moved back to Norway. We lived in the eastern part of Norway, in a town called Skien, until I was 6 years old when we moved to the Norwegian west cost, to a city called Haugesund. Where I lived a big part of my life until I was 19.
I moved to Bergen when I was 20, to study physics at the University of Bergen, where I finished my Cand. Scient (master degree equivalent) in applied physics, oil and gas instrumentation. Since then I have been working at the University of Bergen. Today I am working at the IT department of University of Bergen.
